but this is cazzehmor venceran, known to most people as caz. he is an elf originally from tal'anorath, of one of the lower servant castes (his family traditionally has served ![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) otheym's family) where magic talent isn't quite as plentiful. caz, however, showed a very strong talent for magic and was invited to attend the capital's magical institute. he went for a while, but left before his schooling was officially complete (for reasons he doesn't talk about) and left the elven lands. since then, he has been traveling across the country, selling charmed goods or lifting magic curses and hexes (for pay, of course), while also conducting research on portal travel/teleportation.
personality-wise, he's kind of one of those reserved, quiet sort of guys. it takes a lot to get him to open up, even if he's just as friendly as he has to be to get by/get what he needs. he does kind of have a bitter, darker sort of streak from some events that happened over the years, but he doesn't take it out on other people. because of his upbringing, he still kind of feels uncomfortable in fancier settings since he feels very out of place and like he doesn't belong. currently, he calls a small village in belamond home, where he shares a home with his wife and child.
as for lines, he's pretty open to a wide variety of interactions and i'd love to figure some connections out!

Hello! I am currently working on Allie here and hope to have her app'd tonight I've left a few details vague to help with storylines but she is an archeologist and linguist with the Astraeus crew. She advanced through school rapidly and got her doctorates in both fields of study by 27. She worked at a museum until her engagement fell through. This prompted her to push very far outside of her comfort zone and sign on for the Astraeus project. Some days she regrets this, others it's the most thrilling thing she's ever experienced.
Allie is very dedicated to her work which means she often times forgets to leave her lab. She's very intelligent but falls short in the common sense category. She's never had a problem making friends, but has had few close friends since she occasionally gets too wrapped up in her work and forgets plans. Since the launch of Astraeus, she has been trying to remember to socialize more, sleep regularly and not spend so much time pouring over research.

Hey everyone! I'm a) new, and b) bringing in this lovely lady, Taelia. She's part of the Astraeus crew (comms), and before that, pretty much spent her whole life on Scheria. She's always been an anarchist at heart, so not the biggest IPA fan (though she can fake it), but when her brother was killed a couple years back, it spurred her to join the ranks of the GLF - she passes on conversations between members of the IPA and other supporters either through her job or by participating in some light hacking to get transcripts/recordings. She has an eidetic memory, which she doesn't really tell anyone (it can be obvious when she can retell things exactly) so she'll remember everything you've ever said/done to or around her. Including passwords. She's not shy, she'll look over your shoulder.
She's got a connection with chairon, but other than that, has nothing. I'm open to any and all connections.

Hi folks. I'm bringing in this merman cleric to the party. Dain here grew up in the Sea of Radiance but spent about three years at the Order of Light earning the ways of Thanel. That would've been about two decades ago. He's now back on land for the first time in decades and super excited to be traveling through Nova Sanco. He is en route to deliver an important token from his clan to human allies... and will soon learn that he's that token.
I'd love anything and everything. Traveling companions for him and roslyse. People he met in Nova Sanco all those years ago. People he saved from drowning, or who hold dubious views about the merfolk. All the lines with Skyfallers.

Hi, all. I'm Joss. I was here for a hot minute in the first day or two of the game, then had to drop when life threw a Through the Looking-Glass level nonsensical party. With that squared away, I'd love to come back. Before I start sprinting into char dev, are there any lines, roles or niches that particularly need filling?
That said, I've been toying with an Astraeus crewman who is kind of half Spock, half Miranda Lawson, and a total mess when reality doesn't fit into her perfectly well calculated expectations. She's the product of a fledgling genetic modification and engineering initiative for human advancement on Eden. Is this an interesting concept to the gang, or someone you'd want to see around?

heigh-ho, players all! i'm back with a third, because i have a serious fantasy character problem and also lee pace. we needed a few more city elves around anyway, right guys? right?
for your plotting pleasure, lyswen of house liadon. if that house name sounds familiar, it's because he's isera's uncle. lyswen is one of those pesky highborn city elves. he was a big ol' snooty snob with an orc-murdering agenda (his firsh wife wound up on the wrong end of an orc stabbing in their mid-130s) until he hit his 190's and he began the process of finding his chill. in his glory days he was a naval commander (they stuck him on a boat to reduce his opportunities for anakin-skywalker-YOU KILLED MY WIFE-genodicdal-type theatrics. he rolled with it.) and ambassadorial bigwig; sailin' around, fightin' pirates, keeping the world safe for elfmocracy. he retired some time ago, got remarried to a mermaid, and had been chilling on his estate ever since. his hobbies include doing dad things like sending the kids clippings from the elf equivalent of the newspaper. sailing out to see the in-laws from time to time, and whittling new coffee mugs with his sword. the elves have brought him out of retirement for all the sky people shit. he's torn between being excited a worthy job has come around and depressed he probably won't be allowed to wear his slippers to meetings with other governments. spoiler alert: he'll probably try.
he has a few connections lined up and the intro threads are rolling, but i love all the lines, you guys love all the lines, so let's have all lines.

hello all! i'm hoping to finish this guy up for adds to add to the space folk roster and figured i'd toss up one of these posts while i fiddle with his survey. but this is weston kober, and he's one of the physicians on the ship. he's originally from a very middle class family (i think from mars but i'm still tweaking things). he worked his butt off to pay for transport and tuition for college but was kind of at a loss as to what to do once he realized his true calling was medicine. enter the adf, who offered to pay for his schooling if he agreed to work for them. and since he's a good boy who believes in his government, he did just that. he spent the next part of his life working wherever they needed him, whether it was at station hospitals or in the field when the rebels decided to act up. which is actually what he was doing two years ago (think army field hospital during an ongoing skirmish with glf forces) when one of the glf folks thought it would be a good idea to walk a bomb into the treatment area. wes took a good hit from the blast, which resulted in several regrown organs, a lengthy hospital visit, a fake kneecap that still doesn't agree with him and left him with a limp, and a shiny new cybernetic arm to replace the one that was pretty much blown off.
fast-forward a year, and his wife kuong was tapped for the astraeus project and convinced the adf to let wes go along too, thinking it would be an easier assignment they could use to help him with getting back into the swing of things and mental recovery. it was a nice idea, right? he's still an amiable, nerd and dad joke kind of guy 98% of the time, but he can be more than a little short and unexpectedly angry at times or when his nerves are stressed for a little too long. he's a very capable doctor still, even if he's still plagued with a lot of doubts.
and that's longer than i intended, but i'd love to figure some stuff out! people he might have run into before the project, during training or during their space time.

Hey guys, Roslyse's player back with a slightly tweaked version of Karsen. She's the psychiatrist aboard the Astraeus. She comes from a lot of money, but doesn't let it get to her head (no, really). The only bad thing is that her ex-husband was currently on board, and if she had known that, she would have stayed far far away. It's probably been a state of constant bickering around the two of them.
Anyone who might have been seeing her, let me know. Anyone who wants to find her now and get their appointments scheduled again, let me know that too. She's pretty much completely open to all the things. Especially backdated entries, I love those.

hey, folks! better late than never, i've been meaning to introduce cassius hale to everyone, and since we're all busy people, i'll be keeping this short and sweet. (mostly short.)
cassius is one of the astraeus' physicians, resident curmudgeon, and, for a change of pace, he doesn't have a military background. he likes his things tidy and orderly, he's competent and likes his job, but he's terrible about his bedside manners—if your character ends up in the infirmary through their own fault, cassius will tell them so, repeatedly, and it takes a lot of restraint for him to rein his smart mouth in. (seriously, he has no idea when to quit and will talk himself effortlessly into trouble.) aaand he's the brother to obrian's ex-wife.
i'd love to plot some of his relationships with the rest of the crew, and he's just gotten stranded in lakeshore, so i'd love to figure something out from there! excited to be playing with you all!

Hello, everyone. After bringing in two Astraeus crewmen in chairon and altemoc, I'm back with my third and final character, Otheym Trevellyn.
Otheym is your average, run-of-the-mill elf warrior, general (whose men are all lining up to put him on a pedestal-) and lord of Tal'Anorath. He's also part of the city council, a bit of an 'elves first' proponent, and a creature of few scruples. He's the type to sell out his own if he thinks it favors the future of his race and he's not above using his family to get what he wants. That said, he can be fiercely loyal, especially to his children. Not trvellyn thinks so, I bet. Last but not least, he's also isera's potential betrothed and might become her husband... if only she'd do as her family tells her/stay home long enough for them to tie the knot.
Fellow politicians? Unlikely allies? Warriors he has fought and triumph beside? Sky people who need someone to pick them up along the way? Lovers? Enemies? Drinking buddies? Come one, come all, and give me all the things.

Hey ya'll this is Letha. She is a tribal elf druid who was supposed to become the next leader of her clan, but before she could start training she ran away from home on her coming of age day and hasn't looked back. Now she kind of lives on the outskirts of things in a ramshackle shack out in the Saltmarsh that she moved into and has done her best to keep standing over the last 48 years (tbh it probably isn't even her first ramshackle shack). She travels occasionally to trade for things she needs, usually she is peddling potions or medicines, and very rarely has she been hired by adventurers who needed a witch for a quest. Mostly she likes to be left alone.
That said I'd love any excuse to shake up her world a bit. So if someone wanted to say, battle a dragon in her nearby vicinity and have it squash what remains of her cozy abode, or drop their pod onto it, then by all means feel free to reduce it to splinters.

hey, people! i should have posted this sooner, but this is isera! she is a young elf who is related to one of the powerful families of tal'anorath, but you would never guess it coming out of a meeting with her. as a young child, she was separated from her family during an orc attack and presumed dead by her extended family. she spent the rest of her childhood being raised by a hermit in the woods, which has left her somewhat socially stunted and with more than a few druidic tricks up her sleeve. once he passed away, she ended up wandering back to civilization, where her family plucked her up and assumed she would pick up where she left off. unfortunately for them, she is now a little oddball and any attempts to turn her into a socialite have gone poorly. she lacks absolutely all fear concerning any type of animal or beast, for example, but attention in public usually has her hiding behind someone taller than her. when her family becomes frustrated with her, they send her off onto little errands to keep her busy. none of these tasks are meant to be demanding, buuut they have a habit of running away from her.
i could use all of the things. i think she's gathered a little travel party that'll be trying to keep her out of trouble and she will have an aunt in ~mairenn, but everything else, too! family, friends, friends of the family, people who have stopped her from trying to pet a monster, courtly types who have taken her in under their wing, teachers/tutors, etc.

hi guys! i'm super excited to join the game and i'm putting my feelers out to see what lines i could grab before i really get started on her application. my thought is to bring in this fan bingbing pb as a bit of a runaway elven druid - xiya was taught and trained from a young age to become the spiritual leader of her small wild tribe, but a chance encounter with a passing outsider (a warrior, a ranger, a bard, anyone!) opened her eyes to just how little she knew of the world around her and she snuck off to explore.
i'd love at least one person for her to travel with (especially if it's a someone with battle experience) as she gets herself into all kinds of trouble and all the people she has met or will meet as she wanders about. she doesn't have much of a objective beyond learning everything she can about everything ever, at times unthinkingly judgmental and cruel to anyone that isn't an elf just because of how she was raised, very deeply connected to nature and her magic. she isn't completely naive but she isn't as worldly as she thinks and i think it'd be great fun to just throw her into all kinds of messes!

I heard someone say 'sausage fest' and decided to compound the problem by bringing in yet another boy. So hello again, this is chairon, with my second and last (no, really) character, Adnan Altemoc. Son of a politician slated for a life of compromising and making pretty speeches, Adnan joined the ADF as a way to bolster his future aspirations. Then he discovered he actually liked being part of the armed forces, found a family of choice in his fellow crewmen and women, and wound up falling for ingeniare. They were briefly engaged while on the Astraeus, but she decided to call things off shortly before the ship crashed. Insert appropriate Alanis Morisette lyric here.
Fellow Astraeus crew, come at me. Terocielian locals who may or may not benefit from the skills of a would-be Littlefinger (with slightly better intentions), likewise.

Hello, everyone. I'm new in these parts and just brought in this Astraeus crew member. Officially, Chase here is (was?) an engineer and programmer aboard the ship before its untimely demise. Unofficially, he is affiliated with the GLF, under whose orders he constructed the persona that underwent training for and ultimately boarded the space mission.
To say he's a shifty bastard would be perfectly fair. That said, he's a nice enough sort while he's sabotaging away, so don't let his dubious associations stop you. Friends, people who suspect him of having a hand in bringing down the Astraeus, come at me.
While he's woefully out of his depth in these strange lands, he's pretty adaptable and I would love to see him take up with some less-than-lawful types. Or end up involved in the local power structure, which should warp his worldview nicely.
Can't wait to write with you all!

Hello! It's taken me a bit to get around to this, apologies. This is Farrow, a half-elf rogue and Lady in Waiting to Princess Calpurnia. She's also sort of the princess' personal spy and is really, really good at getting the information she needs and has several methods she'll rely upon to get what she needs beyond her natural charm and guile, including but not limited to a little splash of illusory magic which she can use to glamour herself or become invisible. Mostly she'll be sneaking around, picking locks, and creating diversions. She's also pretty talented with poisons, which - well let's just say she isn't exactly using them all the time but won't hesitate to drop something that will make you puke for days into your soup or wine goblet if she needs you out of the way for a little while. That said she's a little ambitious, but fond enough of the royal family that she's happy to serve - which makes her a great ally to the royal family but sort of questionable to everyone else. Just ... don't get in her way when she's after something.
All that said she is pretty good at covering her tracks so she mostly has a reputation for being sweet, charming, and a delight at parties. She's probably seemingly friends at least for appearances with a large part of the court.

Hello all! I am in the midst of bringing in this lady here who is the younger sister to luken and etxarte. She's a sweet girl, probably too sweet for the world she lives in, but that comes as a bi-product of growing up in a fairly stable loving family environment with two bad-ass older brothers and an even more bad-ass mother. Alaia is a mage and has been studying at the school of magic in Tal'Anorath for the last several years since her at home tutoring tended to result in broken pots and burning drapes. She's a bit clumsy and easily bored, definitely very playful. This tends to lead to the occasional ill-advised prank or wayward adventure. She isn't exactly a damsel in distress so she usually is able to get herself out of any trouble before it gets too extreme though I am sure there has been an incident or two which has gotten her a lecture or two from various siblings/parents/teachers/random bystanders.
Anyway looking for all kinds of plots and storylines while I flesh her out. If you think you could use her for something just let me know!
